Dr. Randy Cross

About our Doctor

Dr. Randy Cross answered the call of the late Dr. Robertson’s patients in 1983. At the time the practice was located behind Langford’s Pharmacy at the corner of Main St and Dundas St. Waterdown had a population of 3,000 at that time and a total of 4 family physicians.

Dr. Cross completed his medical school and residency training at McMaster University. After a year of practice in Thunder Bay he relocated to Waterdown.

Dr. Cross provided a wide scope of family medicine, including 25 years of delivering babies. He was active in the care of his patients who were admitted to Joseph Brant Hospital. Additionally he was involved in many aspects of Joseph Brant including; Chief of Staff, Head of Family Medicine, and President of the Medical Staff. In addition, Dr. Cross is an associate professor of family medicine and established Waterdown Family Medical Clinic as a community based teaching practice with McMaster University.

Over the years Dr. Cross has been recognized with many awards such as Physician Can Award, the Paul Harris Award and the Gerry Cohen Postgrad Teaching Award.
